The third joint student Olympiad of OCTAPHARMA-PHARMIMEX LLC and the the Faculty of Pharmacy of Ryazan State Medical University

This spring the third joint interdisciplinary Olympiad of OCTAPHARMA-PHARMIMEX LLC and RyazSMU for students of the pharmaceutical faculty was held which has already become a tradition.
Interest to the Olympiad and number of participants grows every year, if in the first year 28 students participated in the Olympiad, last year - 46 people, this year - 103 students! Another important point is the format of the Olympiad which gives students a chance to get acquainted with the industrial production of pharmaceuticals.
Anastasiya Tsygankova, HR Director and Head of Quality Control Department Ekaterina Mosina congratulated all the participants and winners and thanked the specialized departments for joint organization of the Olympiad. "OCTAPHARMA-PHARMIMEX LLC greatly values its partnership with the higher educational establishment and hopes that this cooperation will be fruitful in form of students employed at our plant", - said Anastasiya Tsygankova. "The company is grateful for the opportunity to implement more and more student projects with the support of the departments. We are looking forward to the next academic year to launch a new training program within the Department of Pharmacy," added Ekaterina Mosina.
As Oleg Mikhailovich Uryasiev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, noted: "The Olympiad gives our students an opportunity to prove themselves and apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom in practice. This is a great chance to get an expert assessment of their skills from potential employers from a partner company of the RyazSMU ".
Students who passed to the second round of the Olympiad according to the results of test tasks of the classical first stage took part in business-game, which was specially developed by employees of OCTAPHARMA-PHARMIMEX LLC. The main purpose of the business game is to show Olympiad participants how processes at a modern manufacturing company are organized, and what should be the correct communication between departments to achieve the overall result. The teams were to carry out tasks directly connected with the production processes, and thanks to the game each student was able to try himself in the role of a head of different departments. Invited experts, representatives of OCTAPHARMA-PHARMIMEX LLC and teachers of the faculties evaluated the knowledge and skills of future pharmacists.
The winners of this year Olympiad were: Alyona Sofronova (2nd year), Alexandra Boyarintseva (3rd year), Dmitry Kukov (4th year), Egor Konyahin (5th year). Second places went to Alexandra Yakunina (2nd year), Irina Afanasyeva (3rd year), Alina Travina (4th year), Vasilina Eliseeva (5th year).
Already in May for all winners of the Olympiad OCTAPHARMA-PHARMIMEX LLC is organizing a three-day trip to Moscow. Profile training and creative cultural program are planned in the program for the participants.
